Ursus: A lovely tune, but not easy to sing, so I haven't sung it much.

Lucillus: Everyone has their inspiration, and mine was Jester of the Shindar and Anglesea. I actually started writing poetry before he began composing (I think), but his songs challenged me to set new lyrics to existing songs. I've always been awed, however, that he could write original tunes as well. This tune was written because Jester was leaving us for awhile.

ANGLESEA BALLAD
By Lucillus
Dedicated to Jester
(Sung to the tune of the "Green glens of Antrim")

When you join Anglesea,
You can always come home.
If you wear green and yellow,
You're never alone.
And there's no other place
That I'd rather be
Than with all of my friends
Here in old Anglesea.

And if only you knew
Anglesea like I do
You'd ignore all the stories
Although they're all true.
Out of all of the groups
You may meet, none will be
More friendly or funny
Than old Anglesea.

Yes, we're rowdy and loud
'Cause we like to have fun
If you can't handle that
Then don't bother to come.
But if you like to party
We'll always be here
Unless by some strange chance
We run out of beer.

So for those of you here
And for those far away
There is only one thing
That I'd like to say:
No matter how far
You may go when you roam
We will always be waiting
To welcome you home.
